The Jaguar E-Type is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating classic cars of the last 60 years and a real highlight of English automotive engineering. Even Enzo Ferrari described the coupé as the most beautiful car ever built.

The Jaguar E-Type for sale is a coupé with a 4.2-litre engine from the so-called Series 1.5. This interim series already included the changes to the interior of the second series, which is basically of higher quality and, among other things, complies with American safety regulations. However, this car still has the most sought-after bonnet from the first series with glass-covered headlights. All in all, a very nice combination.

The car is painted in Opalescent Silver Grey and has a red interior – this is also a great combination and corresponds to the delivery.

This E-Type was produced in October 1967 and delivered to the USA. The current owner – a German mechanical engineer – purchased the car in early 2013 and then subjected it to a complete restoration, converting it to European specifications where necessary (triple carburettors, long differential). Since the restoration was completed in 2017, the Jaguar has been driven 10,000 kilometres by the owner.

Here are the most important works and new parts:

• New brakes and clutch
• New subframe
• Sheet metal parts worth thousands of euros replaced
• Engine completely overhauled, including balancing the crankshaft
• Completely new interior
• New windscreen
• New wire spoke wheels
• New stainless steel exhaust
• Chassis parts, shock absorbers, etc.
• Alternator, water pump and steering gear overhauled

In addition, the following upgrades were carried out during the restoration:

• High-performance network for the radiator
• Higher compression and lightweight pistons
• Electronic distributor
• Installation of a so-called military oil pan with one litre more engine oil
• Brake upgrade to 4-piston aluminium calipers
