The G series of the Porsche 911 was launched in 1973 and only ended after 16 years in 1989. Despite its significantly higher price, the Targa was very popular in recent years, accounting for 50% of production – it formed an ideal bridge between the coupe and the full convertible by combining the best of both worlds.

The vehicles from the last years of production are considered particularly attractive. They are very sophisticated and have a 3.2-liter engine, which is considered powerful and very durable. The vehicle offered here also has the G50 five-speed transmission, which is more precise and comfortable than its predecessor – a real plus.

With acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just over six seconds and a top speed of over 240 km/h, its performance is still impressive today. The Bosch L-Jetronic ensures lower fuel consumption compared to older vehicles with K-Jetronic.

Like many others, this 911 Targa was delivered to the USA (this vehicle to Miami). In 2007, it found its way back to Germany and has been owned by its current owner for 17 years. It has been registered since then and has been driven 11,000 kilometers.

The following major work was carried out during this period.
-In 2012: Replacement of the drive shafts and front shock absorbers
-In 2013: Partial overhaul of the engine – new stud bolts, new piston rings, engine sealing, overhaul of the cylinder heads for a total of €6,500 and an overhaul of the transmission for €650 a good 3,000 kilometers ago
-In 2024: Restoration of the Fuchs rims

The work commissioned by the current owner has been extensively documented, but earlier bodywork is also well documented.

The interior is original and undamaged except for the carpets, and the dashboard is crack-free.

The paintwork in the original color “Marine Blue Metallic” is of good quality.

The engine and transmission are matching numbers.

The price takes into account the fact that the air conditioning system was taken out of service years ago and would need to be reactivated if required.
