The Bentley T-Series, along with its sister model, the Silver Shadow, was a huge sales success starting in 1965 and even saved Rolls-Royce from bankruptcy in the early 1970s.

In 1977, the company launched a major model update featuring a total of 2,000 changes. The Bentley was then named the T2. The most significant changes include the highly efficient and comfortable air conditioning system with separately adjustable temperatures for the upper and lower sections, the new rack-and-pinion steering, the front spoiler to stabilize straight-line stability, and many others such as newly shaped door handles, interior-adjustable exterior mirrors, a standard windshield washer system, a dual exhaust, and a revised front suspension.

All in all, helpful and noticeable improvements.

Unlike the Silver Shadow II, of which more than 8,000 were built, only 558 of the T2 were produced during its short production run, which lasted until 1980, making it the significantly rarer version.

Our model is from the last year of production. In Germany, a car like this would have cost a good 170,000 marks back then.

The silver paint in “Shell Grey” contrasts beautifully with the light-colored leather in “Light Blue.”

The current owner purchased the Bentley from a dealer in England in the summer of 2011 and has driven it a good 7,000 kilometers since then. Over the past 15 years, he has invested a good €20,000 in the car. The corresponding invoices are available. In particular, a major service was performed, along with work on the brakes, suspension, and steering. There is therefore no backlog of maintenance. In addition, the service booklet, fully stamped through 2011, is still available.

The interior is in good condition with very few signs of wear. The front seats were reupholstered in England.

The owner is selling this rare Bentley due to his advancing age and his decision to downsize his collection.
